The city of South Haven is closing its ice rink this weekend for the season. Rising temperatures make keeping the ice frozen for long periods of time tough. The last day for the rink this year will be Sunday, February 28 from 3 to 8 p.m., depending on the weather as highs Saturday and Sunday are expected to be close to 50 degrees. For those who are skating, face masks must be worn on and off the ice, and rink capacity is limited to a maximum of 20 skaters. Everyone also needs to stay at least six feet apart.
