Jennifer Granholm is now the U.S. Energy Secretary. The Senate voted 64-35 to confirm her Thursday. The former Michigan governor was remembered by Senator Stabenow as someone who “led our state through challenging times by prioritizing innovation and jobs” and adds she will do the same in her new role. Granholm left Michigan for California after her two terms as governor were up.
