Community Blossomtime Festival pageants are on hold until September. The board of directors has decided due to COVID-19 it is “the most responsible and respectful action we can take at this time.” Festival officials say they are using the down time for a reset and say they still want to be able to continue several spring traditions, including the Blessing of the Blossoms. They area also expanding the age limit for the 2021-2022 pageant season and will allow those between 17 and 20 to take part for just this season. The Blossomtime Festival is the oldest, largest, multi-community Festival in Michigan, celebrating 115 years this year.
