Five people will be interviewed Monday evening by the St. Joseph City Commission to fill the seat vacated by Commissioner Peggy Getty. Of the 14 applicants, the commission selected Anthony Pastrick, Brook Thomas, Jason Vetne, Michael Sarola, and Michele Turner-Binkley. Commissioner Jeff Richards responded to a question if a choice was to be made Monday.
“The last time we did this in 2017 there was a decision that evening,” says Richards. “A motion was made and passed for Commissioner (Lynn) Todman to be the new commissioner. I would just as soon for us to make a decision then because we’d like to have that person seated as quickly as possible.”
The interviews will be held on Zoom starting at 5:30 p.m.
