Celebration Celebration is bringing back the popcorn. While the big food story this week was the resumption of indoor dining at Michigan restaurants, the move also allows theaters to once again serve concessions. Celebration Cinema says the return of popcorn and other treats is a huge deal for the movie theater industry as concessions make up much of a theater’s profits. The theater chain is following the theater industry’s CinemaSafe practices to show movies to patrons at reduced capacity and with several other precautions while the COVID vaccine is slowly rolled out. In Benton Harbor, they’re showing Groundhog Day this week, along with several newer releases.
