1,400 Additional COVID Cases Reported In Michigan Tuesday

Michigan is reporting 1,476 new cases of COVID-19 for Tuesday. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says that brings the state’s total to more than 552,000 since the pandemic started in March. There were 79 additional deaths to report for Tuesday, 44 of which were identified through a review of vital records around the state. Michigan’s COVID death total is now 14,405. The state says Berrien County added 48 more COVID cases over Monday for a total of 9,919. Van Buren County’s cases increased by 17 to 4,413. No COVID-19 deaths were recorded in either county, leaving those figures at 204 in Berrien County and 81 in Van Buren County. Meanwhile, Michigan’s COVID-19 vaccine dashboard on Tuesday showed more than 730,000 people have been given a vaccine dose as of Sunday. As of Monday, the dashboard showed 9,165 vaccines adminstered in Berrien County and 4,494 in Van Buren County.
