Governor Gretchen Whitmer is alleging delays with getting COVID vaccine shipments into Michigan. Speaking Friday, she asked why the Trump administration is dropping the ball.

“I still cannot get a straight answer out of the Trump administration about why Michigan, like many other states, is receiving a fraction of the vaccines that we were slated to receive,” Whitmer said. “There are millions of Pfizer vaccines, many right here in Portage, Michigan, that are waiting to be shipped, but the feds are slow walking the process of getting the addresses to Pfizer for some reason I cannot get an answer to.”

Whitmer asked what it would be like if another administration was in charge. She said the vaccine delays are especially galling in light of the continued deaths, including that of Wayne County Sheriff Benny Napoleon, from COVID-19.
