A 27-year-old Benton Township man has died after being shot in the chest early this morning at Briarwood Apartments on Union. Township police were called to the scene just after 4 a.m. and learned two men were in an argument, and two to three shots were fired. The victim was already in the emergency room at Spectrum Health Lakeland and had died before officers got there. The other man has not been arrested or identified yet.
