More Than 5,700 New Cases Of COVID Reported In Michigan For Tuesday

Michigan is reporting 5,793 additional cases of COVID-19 for Tuesday. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services coronavirus website says the state has now had a total of more than 366,000 cases of COVID since the pandemic started. The state recorded 190 additional deaths on Tuesday, 30 of which were identified through a review of vital records. Michigan has had a total of 9,324 COVID deaths since March. For Tuesday, the Berrien County Health Department’s COVID-19 dashboard shows the county with 55 new cases over Monday. The county has had a total of 6,473 with 110 deaths, an increase of 1 over Monday. On Tuesday, the county was showing 57 non-ICU hospitalizations and 8 patients in the intensive care unit. Van Buren County reported 67 new cases for Tuesday, for a total of 2,800 since March. It also reported 5 additional deaths for Tuesday, bringing the county’s total to 47.
