Governor Whitmer Pleading With Michiganders To Stay Protected

Governor Gretchen Whitmer is pleading with Michiganders to protect themselves from the spread of COVID-19 the way we did in March.

“Please mask up, wash your hands a lot, stay physically separated and let’s have a plan as we go into the holidays or if you’re going hunting,” said Whitmer. “We need to stay safe and take actions to keep one another safe.”

She did not announce any new measures to protect people on Thursday, but said that could come later. Whitmer noted there is a glimpse of hope.

“There is light at the end of the tunnel. The advancements in vaccines, the national strategy, there’s light at the end of the tunnel. We will not be doing this forever.”

Whitmer also noted the U.S. is recording over 100,000 new cases every day, and no one is safe.
