A suspect is in custody following a shooting death in Allegan County on Monday night. The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department says deputies were called to a home near 130th Avenue and 30th Street in Monterey Township just before midnight. They were told someone had been visiting the home when they shot one of the residents. Deputies arrived to find the victim in the driveway with “obvious fatal injuries.” Information was collected about the suspect, and he was later found in the Grand Rapids area after crashing his vehicle. The victim in the shooting has been identified as 35-year-old Cody Cline. The name of the suspect has not yet been released, but he is in the Allegan County Jail.
