More than 32,700 children were neglected or abused in Michigan last year. In an effort to help them and their parents, the 18th annual Pam Posthumus Auction will be held online Monday through Wednesday next week. Executive director for the Michigan Children’s Trust Fund, Suzanne Greenberg, says the money raised will go toward primary prevention services statewide.

“That is services offered to everyone in the state who is interested,” she says. “It could be parenting education and support, it could be training people on what are the signs of child abuse and neglect, it could be teaching kids in school about what does it mean to be groomed.”

Greenberg says the auction has items like trips, jewelry, and experiences. You have to register to take part and you can register at CTFauction.givesmart.com.
