A woman who was pulled from Lake Michigan off Lions Park Beach in St. Joseph on Sunday afternoon has died. The St. Joseph Department of Public Safety says 32-year-old Danely Lopez of Illinois was swimming with her 29-year-old sister when they became overwhelmed. Several bystanders came to their aid. Both women were taken to Spectrum Health Lakeland, where the 29-year-old was treated and released. Danely Lopez was listed in critical condition. The St. Joseph Department of Public Safety says she died on Wednesday.
