Nine Benton Harbor Residents Arrested In Kalamazoo, Accused Of Seeking Retribution For Weekend Murder

Nine people from Benton Harbor between the ages of 17 and 24 are in the Kalamazoo County Jail after being arrested early Sunday morning. Kalamazoo Public Safety says the group had made the trip to allegedly seek retribution for a Saturday murder. Three vehicles were stopped in the 400 block of Drexel, but one took off and was later stopped after a chase in the 13-hundred block of Princeton Avenue. In the first two vehicles, police found three guns and arrested seven people. Two others were arrested and one handgun seized out of the third vehicle. The nine are facing charges that include conspiracy to commit murder, carrying concealed weapons, resisting and obstructing arrest, and fleeing and eluding. No names have been released.
