Hundreds of questions are coming in to Attorney General Dana Nessel’s office regarding the executive orders issued by Governor Whitmer related to the coronavirus pandemic. Nessel is posting videos on YouTube answering the most frequently asked ones, with the first yesterday being that yes, employers are required to tell employees if a coworker has tested positive for COVID-19.

“Because of privacy laws, though, special care should always be taken so any notice doesn’t disclose the identity of someone who’s tested positive,” says Nessel.

This was Nessel’s second such video answering questions, and she says she will continue to do so to try to clear up any confusion over everything that’s happening as the state tries to fight coronavirus.
