The Berrien County Suicide Prevention Coalition is cheering final approval this month of a new law that will set up a statewide Suicide Prevention Coalition. Governor Whitmer signed the bill on December 20. Efforts to set up the Commission and get it working will start after lawmakers return to Lansing in January. The Berrien County organization is encouraging people to contact them or other such organizations with ideas on who to nominate for the statewide group.
