A man missing out of Cass County since last month has been found dead. The Cass County Sheriff’s Department tells us the body of 78-year-old Larry Waldschmidt of Dowagiac was found in Penn Township. The department says it appears that he pulled his vehicle into the driveway of a residence on Kelsey Lake Street west of Decatur Road. The owners of that property weren’t there at the time. Waldschmidt was reported missing on March 27, and he was considered endangered due to him being insulin dependent and having Alzheimer’s. Since his disappearance, police say they received dozens of tips from around the state. The Cass County Sheriff’s Department thanks those who tried to help. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
