Cold like most of us have never experienced is on the way. The National Weather Service is warning of wind chills of 45-below zero mid-week and they’ve issued a Wind Chill Warning from 8 p.m. Tuesday through 2 p.m. Thursday. Wednesday’s high temperature will be below zero as well.
In addition to that warning, forecasters have extended the Winter Storm Warning for Berrien and Cass counties through 1 p.m. Wednesday. An additional six-inches of lake effect snow are possible, and freezing drizzle has been added to the forecast for Monday evening. As for the extreme cold, bundle up and make sure you’ve covered everything. Meteorologists tell us frostbite can happen in as few as 10 minutes.
