Set for this weekend is the fourth annual Michigan Maritime Museum Fright Nights in South Haven. The museum’s Ashley Deming tells WSJM News they’ll have the grounds decked out in a scary theme designed to thrill those brave enough to visit.

“This year’s theme is Slaughterhouse, and so we’re setting up kind of a faux farmstead for the museum campus and one of our buildings,” Deming said. “We’ll take people through, and hopefully, they’ll survive the Fright Nights.”

Deming tells us Fright Nights is a fundraiser for the museum, and it’s been popular.

“We’ve had a lot of success with it, and we’ve got a great group of volunteers that likes to come back every year and just scare the dickens out of people as much as they can,” Deming said.

Deming tells us the theme for Friday and Saturday’s Fright Nights can be thought of as “Wrong Turn meets Hannibal.” Tickets are available online now for $8, and you can also buy tickets are the door for $10. The Fright Nights are from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. this Friday and Saturday. Kids under 12 are not recommended. You can find out more right here.
