Four people who aren’t allowed to have guns are in jail accused of having guns, and a fifth is jailed on a charge of resisting and obstructing police. The arrests happened in Niles around midday Thursday in two locations after police had received tips about current probationers and parolees having guns. Along with the weapons seized, some of which had been reported stolen from Benton Harbor and Mishawaka, police confiscated marijuana, heroin and cash. Juwan Milons, Javonte Milons, and Jalissa Woodson were all arraigned Friday, and two more arraignments are scheduled for Monday of a 50-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man. All five suspects are from Niles. Woodson is charged with resisting and obstructing, while the other four face a variety of charges from probation violations to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
