The Bangor Historical Society will be dedicating the Duane Goss Kalamazoo Toy Train this Saturday at the museum located at the old Ely Hardware building on West Monroe Street. Musum member Rick Dillman told WSJM News the toy trains are an important part of Bangor’s history.

“The Kalamazoo Toy Train was a project that our board of directors selected last fall,” Dillman said. “We know that we call ourselves Train City in Bangor…we had at one time the Kalamazoo Toy Train factory that was in Bangor that was in the train station, and so a lot of those trains were made in Bangor by Bangor people.”

You can see the trains in action Saturday. The dedication is at 3 p.m. at the Bangor Historical Museum.
