Despite the recent weather, summer is actually coming to southwest Michigan at some point and that means getting South Haven’s beaches ready for visitors. City Manager Brian Dissette tells WSJM News work on the City’s North Beach has begun.
“Every year, this time of year, we’ll put equipment down at the North Beach and begin leveling the area in preparation for the upcoming season,” Dissette said.
The north and south beaches have free parking now but, that will change next month.
“The beach parking season goes from May 15 until September 15,” Dissette said.
There are seven beaches or access sites in the area. Visit South-Haven.com for a list.
