A Macomb County ten-year-old girl is the winner of a national poster art contest to help find missing children. Michigan State Police Missing Children’s Clearinghouse Manager Jolene Hardesty tells WSJM News more than 2,000 submissions from 17 states came in for the 2018 National Missing Children’s Day Poster Contest. Now that a winner has been picked, her art will appear on posters reminding the public of missing children throughout the year.

“In the state of Michigan, we have currently over 4,300 missing persons, and officers around the state of Michigan take approximately anywhere between 900 and 1,100 missing children reports per week,” Hardesty said.

The winning poster features the slogan, “Bring Our Missing Children Home,” in front of a globe. You might see young Eden Hoffmann’s art work on a poster for National Missing Children’s Day this May 25.
