Michigan fishing season starts this Sunday, and state Senator John Proos is reminding everyone that new licenses are available online. He tells us the state’s fishing industry contributes billions of dollars to the Michigan economy each year, and he encourages everyone to get outdoors and give it a chance. With spring here, it is time to get a new fishing license and that can be done 24 hours a day at the Michigan Department of Natural Resources website. All new licenses will be valid through March 31 of next year. Proos also reminds everyone they can check the latest fishing regulations online.
