Benton Harbor Area Schools has shuffled around its business office. At a meeting Tuesday, the board voted to contract with Rehmann Robson accounting firm to manage finances. Trustee Joseph Taylor told WSJM News that comes as the board works to get a strong handle on finances.
“Rehmann Brothers decided to contract with us to deep dive into our books because we’re looking at our financial operating plan and everything else, and we want to make sure that our dollars are correct moving forward,” Taylor said.
The current finance director steps down for personal reasons next month.
