The NBA has chosen Indianapolis to host the 2021 All-Star Game. Commissioner Adam Silver made the announcement Wednesday. The only other time Indiana has hosted All-Star weekend was in 1985 when the game was played at the RCA Dome. Larry Bird hand-delivered the latest bid in New York City seven months ago. The Pacers plan to use their home arena as well as Lucas Oil Stadium, which is just a short walk away. Fan festivities will be held at the city’s nearby convention center.  The 2018 All Star Game will be in Los Angeles, followed by Charlotte in 2019, Chicago in 2020.    Little Caesars in Detroit has been mentioned as a possible location for an upcoming NBA as well as NHL All Star Game.  Detroit hasn’t hosted an NBA All Star Game since 1959, or an NHL All Star Game since 1980.   Chicago hasn’t hosted an NHL All Star game since 1991 at the old Chicago Stadium.
