Many Michiganders have cleared the Thanksgiving table to get out to the stores. Holiday shopping doesn’t wait for Black Friday anymore, with many retail outlets opening last evening. Michigan News Network caught up with a few of the Black Friday deal and thrill seekers.

“We’re getting a couple of laptops and a couple of TVs,” one shopper said.

Many stores also had pre-Black Friday sales. The line reportedly started forming at the Best Buy early on Thursday, with consumers camping out for a shot at the big deals, and not all of them satisfied.

“We usually do this every year and pick which stores are going to have the best deals,” another shopper said.

Some stores closed overnight and reopened again this morning for Black Friday. Retail experts are predicting a boost in sales both in the brick and mortar stores and online this season because of the healthy economy.
