For the last two years, a AAA survey has found three-quarters of Americans reported being afraid to ride in a self-driving car. The report reveals a majority of U.S. drivers seek autonomous technologies in their next vehicle, but remain apprehensive about a fully self-driving car. AAA spokesperson Gary Bubar spoke to Michigan News Network about the findings.

“When you look at who responded they way they did, Millennials have had this technology forever, and so they were most likely to not be afraid,” Bubar said.

Bubar says Baby Boomers are the most afraid. Women are also more likely to be afraid than men.
