Congressman Fred Upton is promising the Affordable Care Act will not be fully repealed until congressional Republicans have come up with its replacement plan. He told WKZO this week constituents are concerned about what’s going to happen, but he can’t offer any details yet about what the Affordable Care Act replacement will be.
“Our committees haven’t even met yet,” Upton said. “We’ve got a lot of new members in the Congress. We just did our committee assignments, but no hearings and nothing moving.”
President-elect Donald Trump has talked about “insurance for everybody.” Congressional Republicans have already put a repeal of the Affordable Care Act on the fast track.
