It’s a third term for state Representative Dave Pagel. The Republican handily defeated Democratic rival Dean Hill Tuesday, carrying the district by about 9,000 votes. Pagel owns Pagel Farms in Berrien Springs. His district covers several south Berrien County townships, as well as the cities of New Buffalo, Buchanan, and Niles.
