Van Buren United Way “Stuff A Bus” Drive Coming Up

The Van Buren County United Way will hold its fifth annual Stuff the Bus food drive next month. On Saturday, November 5, a school bus from 10 differed districts in the county will be parked at a grocery store in each of their communities while volunteers ask people to donate, says the United Way’s Vera Tanier-Sebree.

“The drivers all volunteer to bring a bus out to a local grocery store, and then we have our Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops that go to the bus and hand out wish lists to people who are shopping that day to help fill our pantries up,” Tanier-Sebree told WSJM News.

Tanier-Sebree says they hold the food drive each fall so they can help local food banks stay well stocked for the holidays. The food collected in each community stays in that community. In some cases, the grocery stores will pre-stuff wish bags for shoppers. Below is a list of the locations where you can donate to Stuff a Bus this year
