More than $2,500 has been raised for the Bohn-Stewart Children’s Education Fund by the Rock Alliance with its annual 3 Day Ride. A caravan of 16 motorcycles left St. Joseph on Thursday, returning to Stevensville on Saturday for a party at Coach’s Bar and Grill. The ride, organized by Rock 107 WIRX, took riders throughout the northern part of the lower Peninsula. One rider told us it was the best 3 Day Ride he’s taken.

“Beautiful day, a great lunch, great people. It was a fun time.”

Tom Woltman, with the Berrien County Riders, told WSJM News the route was perfect.

“All the two lane, twisty roads we did. It was great twisting and turning everywhere we went. It was all two laners.”

Woltman ran into a bit of trouble when he hit a deer near South Haven, but he wasn’t hurt. The money raised by this year’s ride will go to the education of the children of Midwest Family Broadcasting’s Denise Bohn, who was killed in April.
