Hagar Township is looking for applicants for a couple of vacancies. Township Supervisor Izzy DiMaggio tells us the township treasurer has submitted her letter of resignation. So, they need a replacement.
“She just submitted her letter of resignation,” DiMaggio said. “It is effective September 30 of 2023, so we still have a couple of months. It’s very important that any township resident interested in being appointed to the treasurer’s position send a letter of interest, a brief resume, and reference, if they wish, to the supervisor at Hagar Township.”
DiMaggio says whoever is appointed will serve through the end of the current term, which expires in December of next year. He suggests that applicants consider also running in next year’s election so they can continue in the post after getting a year of experience. Additionally, there’s a vacancy on the Hagar Township Planning Commission. Anyone interested can send a resume, letter of interest, and references to the supervisor’s office.
