Three arrested on meth, firearms charges after warrant search in Dowagiac

Three people were arrested on drug and weapon charges after a search warrant was executed in rural Wayne Township on Thursday.

The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team says they conducted a search warrant on an address in the 25000 block of 63rd Place, about a mile north of Kincheloe Elementary School in rural Dowagiac. Five people were detained on the scene, police said. 

A 56 year-old man was arrested on a warrant for possession of dangerous drugs; A 27 year-old-female was arrested for meth possession, intent to distribute meth and maintaining a drug house; A 54 year-old man was arrested on a probation violation warrant, and additional charges are being requested for possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, felony firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, and maintaining a drug house.

The suspect’s names are being withheld pending arraignment, and the investigation is ongoing.
