Chikaming Open Lands is inviting everyone to help it recapture some wayward snowmen. The Snowman Hunt is now on through January 21. The Mitten Gang, a band of frosty fugitives, has hidden in the preserves of Chikaming Open Lands, and it’s up to everyone to find them. Six snowmen are wanted. Local businesses contribute to make the Snowman Hunt possible. If you find a snowman at one of the nature preserves, snap a selfie with him, and tag @chikamingopenlands with the hashtag #SNOWMANHUNT. You can also scan a QR code on the back of the snowman to be entered to win prizes. Chikaming Open Lands owns preserves in New Buffalo, Harbert, Sawyer, Grand Beach, Galien, and Three Oaks, and you can find clues on its website regarding where the snowmen are hiding.
