A national poll by C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor found one in seven parents are not talking to their kids’ primary care doctor about vaccines. However, poll director Sarah Clark says you should have that conversation.

“That doctor can be a really good source of information and explanation,” Clark said. “It might be a new vaccine that’s been recommended, like a COVID vaccine, or a change in the age or number of doses. So, it’s really important that parents and kids have access to that primary care provider.”

The poll also found that about 3% of parents skip or avoid taking their kids to the doctor so they don’t have to talk about vaccines.
