Leonard “Boo” Goins, 57, of Niles, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, Michigan.
He was born on September 1, 1965, in Cassopolis, Michigan, to Leonard Wilson and Josephine Goins. He has spent most of his working career in construction, as a roofer and drywall finisher.
On November 29, 2016, at the Berrien County Courthouse, he married Vanessa Webber.
In his free time, you would often find him out on the lake fishing. Leonard loved a good BBQ. He enjoyed music, especially R&B. In the evenings during his quit moments, he would watch old westerns.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Wilson, siblings; Tommy Goins, and Marsha Wilson.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Vanessa Goins of Niles; children, Heaven Goins of South Bend; Brian Goins of South Bend; Kayla Goins of Niles; Janay Goins of Niles; Shina Goins of South Bend; Darrius Goins of South Bend; Sterling Goins of South Bend; fourteen grandchildren; Brothers, Leonard “June” Wilson of ???; Terry Wilson of Wisconsin; aunts; Mary Moore, Eileen Bennett, Lucille Stokes, Janet Lawson; and an uncle, Herman Goins; along with a host of extended family.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be directed to his family, in care of Brown Funeral Home.
