A Benton Harbor man suspected of supplying drugs to local drug dealers has been arrested.

Willie Lark, 51, was taken into custody and charged with multiple drug trafficking-related crimes Thursday following search warrants which uncovered about 199 grams of methamphetamine, 156 grams of fentanyl, 72 grams of cocaine and 35 grams of crack cocaine. He is lodged in the Berrien County jail on multiple charges of delivery, manufacture and selling of controlled substances.

The Michigan State Police reported Friday that Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) detectives executed two search warrants on Aug. 30 in the city of Benton Harbor. During the first search warrant in the 400 block of South Fair Ave., detectives seized more than a pound of illegal narcotics. Other evidence of drug trafficking was located linking Lark as the source of supply to local dealers and users of these illegal drugs.

Additional evidence against Lark was located during the execution of the second search warrant in the 700 block of McAllister Ave.

On Sept. 15, SWET detectives tracked Lark to a secluded area in Coloma Township, where they arrested him without incident.  During the search of his person, detectives discovered additional quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, and crack-cocaine packaged for sale.  Lark was lodged in the Berrien County jail on his arrest warrants and additional drug charges.

Anyone with additional information on Lark’s suspected drug trafficking is asked to contact D/Lt. Shawn Yech at 269-982-8664.
