Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber President Arthur Havlicek has been selected by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to take part in its Business Leads Fellowship Program. The program trains leaders from state and local chambers of commerce, economic development agencies, and trade associations with resources, access to experts, and a network of peers to build their ability to address workforce challenges. The six-month program consists of both in-person and virtual meetings, and topics will include the talent pipeline, education, and workforce development. Havlicek was selected along with 34 other state and local leaders for the program. Havlicek says he’s honored to be chosen for the program, hoping it will enable him to “bring home new insights, ideas, and initiatives that unite our community partners and drive progress on our region’s talent initiatives.”
