A Gobles man is dead after being struck by a vehicle while standing next to his bike on the side of Mill Lake Road in Bloomingdale Township last night.
The Michigan State Police Paw Paw post reported that at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 53-year-old female driver of a Dodge Caravan struck and killed 59-year-old Dennis Hale, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman, also from Gobles, suffered minor injuries. Seatbelt use is unknown, and alcohol/drugs do not appear to be factors. The investigation remains open pending lab analysis and prosecutor’s review.
