Lake Michigan fish and cherry ice cream are on the menu next weekend in South Haven.

The Michigan Maritime Museum will host its 20th Annual Fish Boil Fundraiser Saturday, July 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. In addition to a traditional Great Lakes Fish Boil featuring lake fish, potatoes and onions, guests will be able to enjoy a cup of Sherman’s “Lindy Lou” amaretto cherry ice cream. The event will also feature games, a 50/50 raffle and a cash bar.

The fish boil is the largest annual fundraiser for the Museum, with everything from the fish to the napkins donated by businesses and organizations in the South Haven community. All proceeds go toward museum operations.

Maritime Museum Executive Director Patti Montgomery Reinert said she believes there is something special about being on the waterfront and sharing a meal of Lake Michigan fish caught by friends and neighbors, adding the level of excitement will be even greater with the opening of the Museum’s Maritime Heritage Center upcoming.

Tickets for the event cost $12 for adults and $6 for children five and younger. A take out fish boil option is also available.
