Coming back this summer to downtown St. Joseph are Love Local weekends. St. Joseph Today’s Amy Zapal tells WSJM News during the third weekend of the month, June through September, businesses will be offering everything from extended shopping hours to free gift wrapping to new products to featured menu items and specials. There are also free Friday night concerts.
“As part of Love Local weekends, we have free Friday night concerts,” Zapal said. “So, June 17 we have PastTime, on July 15th, we’ll have the Lake Effect Jazz Big Band, on August 19 we’ll have St. Joe Jack and The Good Time Company, and on September 16 – I’m super excited about this one – we’ll have the St. Joe High School Jazz Ensemble.”
Zapal says it’s a great experience to get a drink and stroll over to the band shell to take in some music. She notes the social district in downtown St. Joe does cover the band shell. Everyone is invited to downtown St. Joseph the third weekend of each month to enjoy Love Local events.
