Gas prices have taken a jump again. They were up to $5.17 a gallon on average in Michigan by Tuesday afternoon. That’s 12 cents higher than on Monday. AAA’s Gary Bubar says it’s all about supply and demand .
“As demand rises and we’re coming out of this pandemic, travel is up, demand is up, and that drives a lot of the cost, too,” Bubar said.
Bubar says the war in Ukraine is a factor as well as the price of oil. It now stands at $120 dollars a barrel.
