$100,000 is being donated to the Curious Kids’ Museum and the YMCA of Greater Michiana. The $50,000 donations were announced Friday at the 2022 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship. The PGA of America and Whirlpool also awarded $50,000 to the Jack and Barbara Nicklaus KitchenAid Senior PGA Champions for Change Scholarship Program. PGA president Jim Richardson called it a “true honor” to give back to young people in the area. Nicklaus was in Benton Harbor in 2018 for the announcement of the scholarship’s creation. Recipients use the money for pursuing a bachelor’s degree or to advance a technical degree. The scholarship also received $50,000 in 2020 despite the championship being canceled due to COVID-19.
