Benton Harbor public safety officers are investigating a hit-and-run death. They were called to Pipestone and Milton just before 12 a.m. Friday night and found Gary Elsner laying in the 1000 block of Pipestone. He was declared dead. Police are looking for a black SUV that hit Elsner and left the area. Parts were left at the scene and are being investigated to determine what kind of vehicle it was. Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to call Benton Harbor Public Safety or Crime Stoppers at 800-342-STOP.
