Central Michigan University is working to bring up enrollment after a drop for the last several years. CMU board president Rich Studley told Michigan News Network many universities have seen a drop in enrollment, but CMU will work to address it.

“The good news is at CMU there’s strong agreement with President Davies and the board of trustees that we need to do better quickly on enrollment,” Studley said. “We need to keep our focus on diversity and equity and inclusion.”

Studley says they have hired a new provost and technology will be part of the equation. He does blame a drop in state funding as part of the problem.
