The Kitchenaid Senior PGA Championship is looking for some southwest Michigan golfers who can hit a long drive. Championship Director Brandon Haney tells WSJM News they’re holding the community long drive contest Wednesday at Pipestone Indoor Country Club.

“Anyone and everyone is welcome to join us,” Haney said. “We’ll have different categories for male, female, and youths. Everyone is welcome to come in and make attempts and try to get the longest drive of the day.”

With the categories, what will be the prizes?

“We’ll have various prizes for each of the groups. Anything from tickets to our Makers Trail 19th hole, Kitchenaid Senior PGA swag with hats and shirts, and we’ll also have some Kitchenaid products available as prizes for all three categories.”

Haney says the breweries and distilleries that will be featured at the championship Makers Trail 19th Hole will be at the contest. Those with tickets to the Makers Trail 19th Hole get to try the products of those makers, enjoy a meal from a food truck, and get an up-close view of the golf action. The long drive contestWednesday will run from 4:30 to 7:30 and everyone’s welcome to give it a shot.
