The Benton Township Police Department says it’s investigating a second fatal shooting to occur on Wednesday. Officers were called to the intersection of Highland and Plum, the entrance of Blossom Acres housing development, shortly before 3 p.m. on a report of a shooting. They arrived to find two victims. Both were taken to the hospital, with one pronounced dead shortly after. He has been identified as an 18-year-old Benton Harbor male. The other victim, a 17-year-old Benton Harbor male, suffered a single gunshot to the leg. He is being treated. Police say they spoke to several individuals at the scene who were recording, but officers got no cooperation. Anyone who may have seen the shooting or has information on it is asked to call the Benton Township Police Department.
