A program is being launched by Kitchenaid to give two Berrien County young people exclusive behind the scenes access to the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship in May. Kitchenaid’s Deb O’Connor tells WSJM News the inaugural Kid Inside the Ropes program will result in two Kids Inside the Ropes being selected. They’ll get to go behind the scenes to talk with players, see chef demonstrations, and a lot more.

“We’re asking kids to submit a video that’s no more than two minutes and show their love of cooking or their love of golf, or even just love for their local community,” O’Connor said. “So, they can pretty much do what they want to do, but maybe they would highlight their favorite recipe or show off their golf swing, or sink a long put in the living room, something like that.”

O’Connor says a panel of judges will pick the winners based on creativity and enthusiasm in April. Kitchenaid came up with the Kids Inside the Ropes program to offer special experiences to local young people. The videos can be submitted online. The 2022 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship will take place at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor May 25 through May 29.
