Bronson Healthcare is planning a virtual vigil for next month to honor and remember all of those who have died as a result of COVID-19. Bronson says the Healing Steps Forward Virtual Vigil will be February 15 at 7:30 p.m. Bronson says in the nearly two years since the pandemic reached southwest Michigan, many people have experienced anxiety, loss, grief and trauma. The vigil is intended to be a chance for staff to come together, along with the community, to grieve, provide support, and move forward. Bronson Healthcare CEO Bill Manns says after a tough experience, “Being together can provide a path to healing mentally and emotionally. We hope this vigil will allow people the opportunity to make meaningful steps on that healing journey.” A website for the vigil can be found at BronsonVirtualVigil.com. The event will include the live lighting of three candles — one in remembrance of those who have died, one for those who are grieving or experiencing pain, and one to honor those who have cared for others. There will also be a poem, music, a video, and thoughts shared by staff and community members.
